Description

We need to find the proper mechanism and desired behavior to allow overrides for freemarker includes. Some of this has to do with what is desired from PLoS and Topaz, i.e., where does the platfrom line get drawn. We could go a route where we create "widgets" for functionality. Or simply find some way to allow for overrides for individual "snippets" of freemarker include, or say that you should just have a whole new layout template. Related to this may be a desire to move to something like tiles.
