Description

Current email text is fairly ugly. An improved source:head/topazproject/webservices/alerts/core/src/main/resources/email.xsl can fix this.

First, I removed the alerts webservice from topaz. Nobody is using it AFAIK. So I think this is obsolete.

AFAIK Plos uses the alertsinfo.groovy script to pull the list of users interested in various alerts and import those users into a real mailing list manager (that can detect bouncing stuff, etc.).

FYI, The alerts webservice was designed to send emails on a regular basis based on new articles in a specific category. For alerts as they are used in 0.6, see AlertsImplementaiton.

FYI, The alerts tool was always meant to be rewritten. See AlertsDesign for ideas.
